Editing Panasonic RAW in Apple Photos

I'm trying to evaluate RAW photos from my camera for the first time, so please excuse the newbie-ness of this.

Download the files and let me know what you can do with RAW?

I doubt Photo's Light adjustment panel is synologous to the GH5's exposure, which admittedly I feel I get wrong all the time.

The question I want to answer in my mind is "Is it worth shooting in raw when the file is typically 10x the size?". Already my Icloud photos account is 75% full. Surely adding RAW to my workflow is going to explode my Cloud storage costs?
