What a hunk of crap. Mysql can scale.
You have to install the Oracle software 10g in my case via a JAVA GUI in X.
Now if you are a remotely serious company you will have a dedicated host in a proper facility.
Where bandwidth costs.
X has a god awful server client design IMO. It’s complicated and the network protocol EATS Gigabytes of bandwidth.
The Oracle installation takes HOURS. Despite the hype with the “Red Hat and Oracle partnership” their installer does nothing to integrate with Red Hat or the FHS for that matter.
It’s 2.2 Gig once it is installed. I’ll be probably installing it from a scp-ed over tar of the CD via VNC.
