A few days ago I was moaning about how it wasn’t easy to keep a Debian machine updated compared to say Red Hat’s automagic up2date (paid subscription required) service.

Today I noticed a new package in a dapper dist-upgrade called unattended-upgrades. More information about unattended upgrades in the Ubuntu wiki.

Sweet! And under the GPL. Great. I’ve copied the initial version for online viewing of unattended upgrade source on my static site.

Hi Natalian,

I was checking out your site and noticed that you’re running Trac on Dreamhost… how did you get it to run? I was looking at this a while ago, but never gave it a go as one of Trac’s prerequisites is clearsilver – which I can’t get on to Dreamhost. Can you give me some tips on how you achieved this?

Nice site by the way, especially the google maps extension.

Cheers,
Harold
