Korea

Kai jumps for it

Some of you might have guessed I’m off to Korea. I’ve tried getting an IT job in Korea, but nothing has materialized. I’ve never really had a problem getting a job before and since Korea is all IT and all, it’s been a little disappointing.

Anyway, I should have a part time teaching job lined up where I will be teaching young kids with little or no English ability. Oh jeepers. ;)

It’s only part time, so I guess I’ll have quite a bit free time to explore Korea and perhaps work on a couple of projects I have in mind.

I have a monster trip ahead of me from tomorrow. Vietnam, Thailand and then Korea. Argh, I hate flying!

Christ you’re spoilt. Have you ever tried to get a job in Anglo-Saxon studies? Well then ;)

Best of luck, & let us know how the teaching comes along. I’d love to have a closer view on that.

Hi. I’m browsing the internet and came across your site. How is it going for you in Korea? I am looking for a job in Korea now, but can’t find anything. I can’t go and study there, because I didn’t go to university after school. I am planning on going there with a tourism visa to see if I can find something and then change it to a working visa. Any advise? Thank you

Sorry, I meant to say I can’t go and teach English there, because I didn’t go to university after school. Anyway… Thank you… :)

hein: It is really difficult to get a English job without a degree in Korea (or Japan). It might be possible, though it would be a risk. I think they’re less fussy in China and South East Asia.
