Please read the changelog.
And test this pre-release of Wordpress 1.5 for Debian SID. Email me and Teo about serious problems. Although I do not think I will be able to fix them…

Since Internet where I am is so bad, I couldn’t check if the vulnerabilities in Wordpress 1.2 have been fixed. :(

I hope Teo will smooth things over. I put myself as maintainer (I have been doing the last couple of updates), although this may need a NMU. :/

First impressions of Wordpress 1.5 are not great. I still have 1000+ comments that need moderating and interface still seems to suck. I need to regex all those poker/sex shit out of there. Apologies to my comment posters.

Ok, I am going for a dip in the pool to cool down.

About that poker/sex shit and the poker club .. I’m sure you have already known taht you can plug a plugin into your wordpress, they work great. I myself use Spam Karma (use google or browse the plugin section on wordpress.org). It’s pretty nice, the installationis staright froward, and it blocks the spams for me, silenty .. a personal spam assasin, just for you and your blog :D .. happy maintaining WP for Debian ..

Uh oh, Spaminator is another alternative (used by default on blogthing.com)

Took some time out and updated the wordpress package. I wish I could have done this earlier and now I think I have pissed off Moray Allan and Teo. Perhaps even Debian security, oh hell the package is not even in testing.

I am satisfied that the security issues have been dealt with.

I’ve installed Spam Karma and as usual not impressed. Tons of options I care less about. So in the end I marked all my comments as spam, went through them quickly searching for friends and killed exactly 1000 comments as spam. I am leaving “spam karma” on, so readers try comment and any problems, please mail me.
